The current Middle Eastern wars are to an extent a consequence of the First World War and the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire that followed it. Credit Unions are banks which consider people to be worth more than money. The first ones were developed in the Kingdom of Saxony in 1852. Since then they have spread all over the world. It has been shown throughout history that by working together people can achieve far more through co-operation than by individual effort.

Ushahidi which means “testimony” in Swahili was a website that was initially developed to map reports of violence in Kenya after the post-election fallout at the beginning of 2008. Since then it has grown into an international platform
